Community members, led by Bertha Alicia Garza President/Founder of Centro de Servicios Comuntarios, have begun an effort to make improvements to Miller Park, located at 4th Street and E Street.

The Miller Park Improvement Project is kicking off and Centro de Servicios Comunitarios, LLC is working diligently with a great team of business owners and community members. These include but are not limited to: a Rod's house volunteer/realtor, parents, retired YPD, the Davis girls basketball head coach, the Commissioner of Hispanic Affairs, Yakima Parks and Recreation, and our very own City Mayor.

With the help of our community and support from local/nearby businesses, anything is possible. At the heart of our city, the NE community of Yakima deserves this opportunity for a safe and clean space to gather and create lifelong memories. The Miller Park Revitalization Committee has been working tirelessly to ensure that this becomes a reality.

With a fundraising target of $400,000 for improvements at Miller Park, the goals are to increase safety, health & recreation opportunities and a community gathering place for education, outreach and collaboration.

Plans are certainly in the works, but we are asking that you, fellow business owners and community members, take the time to look further into this great project and consider donating.

“Alone we can do little, but together we can move mountains,” said Garza.
